Esvan Rivera is a Chicago based fine art and commercial photographer who recently graduate from Columbia College Chicago with a BA in photography. Esvan’s work thus far has been comprised of portraiture that address topics of identity, relationship dynamics, isolation and separation. A number of prints from his series The Men I Meet were most recently exhibited at the Arcade Gallery in Chicago as part of a group exhibition titled Engage/Connect. He has two upcoming group exhibitions in April and his second solo exhibition is scheduled for later this year in August.
His two main bodies of work include A View from 24u, which was selected for a solo exhibition by the City of Chicago in the fall 2012. As well as his current working portrait project titled, The Men I Meet.
A native of the Suburbs of Chicago, Esvan now resides in the city of Chicago proper where he lives with his husband, their two adoring cats and a rambunctious puppy.
